Puppy Training Program
Your puppy arrives already sleeping through the night, waiting at the door to go outside, and responding to basic commands. Our extended training program gives your Dachshund the best possible start — so you can skip the hardest part of puppyhood and go straight to the good stuff.
Professional puppy training classes typically cost $800–$2,000 after pickup — and they start later. Our program costs less, starts earlier, and happens during the most critical learning window of your puppy’s life.

Who This Is For
Busy Families
You want a well-started puppy without taking weeks off work for round-the-clock training.
Apartment Living
Potty training in an apartment is hard. We get it started before your puppy ever comes home.
First-Time Dachshund Owners
Dachshunds are wonderful but stubborn. Starting training early makes all the difference.
Skip the Hard Part
You want to enjoy your new puppy from day one — not spend weeks sleep-deprived and cleaning up accidents.
Why Early Training Matters for Dachshunds
Dachshunds have a well-earned reputation for being stubborn — especially when it comes to potty training. Their independent streak means they need consistent, early guidance, or bad habits set in fast.
The 3–14 week window is the single most impactful period for shaping a puppy’s behavior. During this time, they’re wired to learn. Neural pathways are forming. Habits are being built. What a puppy experiences (or doesn’t) during this period shapes their temperament and trainability for life.
By starting structured training while your puppy is still with us, we’re working during the window when it matters most — not after it’s closed. That’s why our trained puppies transition to their new homes with less stress, fewer accidents, and better manners from day one.
Common Questions
For the health and safety of all our dogs and puppies, we maintain a strict biosecurity policy — no visitors are permitted on our property. But don’t worry, you won’t miss a thing. We send regular photo and video updates so you can watch your puppy hit every milestone. And when pickup day arrives, your puppy will be ready to bond with you immediately.
Every puppy learns at their own pace. If your puppy needs a little extra time, we’ll talk with you about it — there’s no rush. We never send a puppy home before they’re ready, and we won’t charge you extra for a few additional days.
Yes, always. We use only positive reinforcement — treats, praise, and play. Dachshunds are sensitive dogs, and punishment-based methods do more harm than good. Our approach builds confidence and trust, which is the foundation for a well-behaved dog.
Yes. You don’t need to decide on a training tier when you apply. Once your deposit is placed and your puppy is assigned, we’ll discuss which program is the best fit for your family and lifestyle.
